The planet you've probably never heard of

Way out beyond Mars, but before you get to Jupiter, is a planet.

You read that right. There's a planet between Mars and Jupiter.

You may not have heard of it, but it was discovered in 1801 -- 129 years before Pluto. It originally was called a planet, then later an asteroid and now it's called a dwarf planet.

Its name is Ceres (pronounced like series) and you'll likely be hearing a lot more about it in the coming weeks.Ceres is one of five named dwarf planets recognized by NASA and the International Astronomical Union (IAU). The other four are Eris, Pluto, Makemake and Haumea.

BREAKING NEWS: Man's death leads to discovery of new virus

The CDC has discovered a new virus that may have contributed to a Kansas man's death, the agency announced Friday.Named the Bourbon virus after the county where the patient lived, the virus is likely spread by tick or insect bites, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says.

A 50-year-old man suffered multiple tick bites in the spring of 2014 while working outside on his property, the CDC said in an article published in the agency's "Infectious Diseases" journal.

The man fell ill over the next two days, went to a doctor on the third day, was hospitalized and died of a heart attack 11 days after becoming sick, the CDC said.

9 Small Things You Can Do To Make Your Girlfriend Smile

Five things you probably didn't know about Jesus

With Lent beginning, we compiled things you probably didn't know about Jesus

You may hear revelations from new books that purport to tell the "real story" about Jesus, opinions from friends who have discovered a "secret" on the Web about the son of God, and airtight arguments from co-workers who can prove he never existed.

Beware of most of these revelations; many are based on pure speculation and wishful thinking. Much of what we know about Jesus has been known for the last 2,000 years.

Still, even for devout Christian there are surprises to be found hidden within the Gospels, and thanks to advances in historical research and archaeological discoveries, more is known about his life and times.

6 Things Men Secretly Love About The Women In Their Lives

If you've been with your husband, fiancé or boyfriend for a while, you may have noticed that he is quite vocal about some things (e.g., sports), but perhaps quite muted about others (e.g., your relationship). The silence can be frustrating, especially with your relationship on the line.
"I wish I knew what my man really thinks about... (blank)," many women say. With apologies to Taylor Swift, there are a number of important blank spaces that women want addressed with honest answers about what men truly think.

TOP 25 WORST PASSWORD OF 2014 – IS YOURS ONE OF THEM?

Its really sad that people are very lazy to create strong passwords to log into social media, stores, email and other websites. In one year 3.3 million passwords leaked online , in this SplashData has listed the 25 most common — and therefore least secure

The 100 worst passwords include easy series of letters and numbers in alphabetical or numerical order, or as they appear on the keyboard (e.g. “qwerty” and “1qaz2wsx,” the first two semi-columns of keys),   sports teams and favorite sports and less than clever phrases like “letmein,” “access,” and, ironically, “trustno1.”

Here's what science says is the most dangerous sex position.

We now know who to blame when dicks get broken.
A new study out of Brazil (where they do all the best sex position studies) has revealed that the most dangerous sex position is "woman on top" or "cowgirl."
The study of 44 men with fractured penises was conducted to find out why this "relatively uncommon clinical condition" occurs, and what you can do at home to stop it from happening to you.
If you feel like squirming, consider that half of the men heard an "audible crack" that led them to suspect fracture.
The Independent reports that the woman being on top is dangerous "because the woman controls the penis with her entire body weight landing on it and is unable to interrupt it when it suffers a 'wrong way penetration'.

You might think life in America is expensive. But it turns out that when compared to the rest of the world, the U.S. doesn't even make the list of the 20 most expensive countries to live in.
Thanks to a new infographic from Movehub, a site that provides information to those looking to move abroad, we can see clearly whose wallets have it worst off. The graphic includes a number of maps showing which nations have the highest cost of living, based on the average price of consumer goods in each country.

Ebola crisis: Experimental vaccine 'shipped to Liberia'

The first batch of an experimental vaccine against Ebola is on its way to Liberia.

The shipment will be the first potentially preventative medicine to reach one of the hardest hit countries. But experts say that, with Ebola cases falling, it may be difficult to establish whether the jab offers any protection against the virus. It has been produced by British company GlaxoSmithKline and the US National Institutes of Health.
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) said a plane carrying some 300 initial doses of the vaccine was expected to arrive in Monrovia on Friday. The company hopes the first volunteer will be immunised in the next few weeks.

Giant asteroid to fly by Earth Monday

A big asteroid will fly by Earth on Monday, but NASA says don't worry -- we'll be safe.

The asteroid is called 2004 BL86. It'll come about 745,000 miles (1.2 million kilometers) from Earth, or about three times as far away as the moon.

You're wondering, doesn't this happen all the time? Yes and no. There are lots of asteroids that pose a threat to Earth -- about 550 as of today. None are predicted to hit anytime soon.

Archaeologists say they've found site of Jesus' trial

Every few years, it seems, an archaeological find of major biblical significance is announced, almost always to do with either Jesus or King David. This week, it's Jesus, and it's a big one.

Just inside the western walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, beneath the tall Ottoman-era fortification known misleadingly as the Tower of David, archaeologists this week proclaimed the discovery of the site of Jesus' trial by Pontius Pilate, at which he was condemned to die by crucifixion.

More accurately: They proclaimed the opening to visitors of the site, which has now been excavated and prepared for public viewing.

Without pinpointing the precise location, scholars have known for a long time that the trial

Will religion ever disappear?

Atheism is on the rise around the world, so does that mean spirituality will soon be a thing of the past? Rachel Nuwer discovers that the answer is far from simple.
A growing number of people, millions worldwide, say they believe that life definitively ends at death – that there is no God, no afterlife and no divine plan. And it’s an outlook that could be gaining momentum – despite its lack of cheer. In some countries, openly acknowledged atheism has never been more popular.
